In order to use energy efficiently throughout Myanmar, the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Department (EECD), which is under the supervision of the Directorate of Industrial Collaboration under the Ministry of Industry, has prepared an energy efficiency and conservation law. On November 6, 2024, the Ministry of Industry's Office (30) hosted the Energy Efficiency and Industrial Development Meeting to draft the legislation and talk about industrial development and associated topics, such as the application of industrial zone laws and regulations.

The program reportedly received forty participants from relevant ministries and organizations. After the legislation and related subjects were explained, the participants agreed to continue the law and cooperated in the required areas. The legal process will continue with the updated members for the previous working group committee.
